Our Story
Umba Textiles FZC was founded with a clear conviction: the global used clothing industry needed a partner that could deliver reliability, scale, and precision — not just promises. From our earliest operations, we set out to build an enterprise that would earn trust through consistency, not volume alone.
What began as a focused operation in the United Arab Emirates has grown into a multinational enterprise spanning three countries and four continents. Over more than two decades, we have refined every stage of the textile lifecycle — from collection and grading to packaging and global distribution — into a systematic, repeatable process that our partners depend on.
Today, Umba Textiles is recognized as one of the leading used clothing companies worldwide. That position was not given. It was built — container by container, market by market, year after year.
Growth & Milestones
Our trajectory reflects disciplined expansion and deep investment in operational capability.
Facility network. We operate large-scale, modern sorting facilities strategically located in the UAE, Turkey, and Pakistan. Each facility is purpose-built for high-volume textile processing, enabling efficient logistics, consistent grading standards, and rapid order fulfillment across time zones.
Workforce. A team of more than 1,000 skilled employees powers our operations. Every sorter, logistics coordinator, and quality inspector brings hands-on expertise that no automation can replace. Our people are our process.
Shipment volume. We have successfully completed over 5,000 container shipments, supplying used clothing to buyers across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Each shipment is graded, inspected, and packaged to the exact specifications of the destination market.
Market reach. We conduct business across four continents, connecting a wide network of international suppliers with reliable demand channels. Our long-standing industry relationships and deep market knowledge have made us a preferred choice for large-scale and long-term collaborations.
Mission & Values
Our mission is straightforward: deliver precision, reliability, and scale to every partner we work with — from the first conversation to the final delivery.
Precision. We specialize in customer-oriented sorting, tailoring product grades, categories, and packaging to meet the specific requirements of diverse markets. No two orders are identical because no two markets are identical.
Reliability. In an industry where consistency separates leaders from the rest, we have built our reputation on delivering exactly what we promise — on grade, on time, on spec. Our partners plan their businesses around our output because they know it will arrive as agreed.
Scale. With facilities across three countries and a workforce of over a thousand, we operate at a scale that enables competitive pricing, rapid turnaround, and the flexibility to handle orders of any size. From a single container to recurring monthly programs, we have the capacity to deliver.
Sustainability. We are driven by the conviction that textile recycling is not just a business opportunity — it is an industry responsibility. Every garment we sort and redistribute is a garment diverted from landfill. Our operations extend the lifecycle of textiles, reduce waste, and contribute to a more circular global economy.
Our Facilities
Our three-country facility network gives us a strategic advantage that few competitors can match.
United Arab Emirates — Our headquarters and primary hub. The UAE facility serves as the nerve center for global logistics coordination, client relations, and quality control oversight. Its position at the crossroads of international trade routes enables rapid access to markets across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
Turkey — Strategically positioned between Europe and Asia, our Turkey facility specializes in processing and distribution for European and Central Asian markets. Proximity to major shipping lanes and overland routes ensures fast, cost-effective delivery to our largest buyer base.
Pakistan — Our Pakistan operation focuses on high-volume sorting and grading, leveraging a deep talent pool of experienced textile workers. The facility handles a significant share of our total processing capacity and serves as a key supplier for markets across Asia and Africa.
Together, these facilities form an integrated network — sharing standards, communicating in real time, and operating as a single system rather than three separate outposts. The result: consistent quality regardless of origin, and the agility to route orders through whichever facility best serves the client.
